This year's festival doubled as a mental health fundraiser for uninsured low income families and voter registration sponsored by Austin's Chapter AKA's. Join us annually, the Sunday after Labor Day.

Festival celebrating the passing of the Crown Act in Texas in 2023 which made it illegal to discriminate against textured hair associated with people of color in school, places of employment or sports. We celebrate with an explosion of cultural music and dance performances, a flamboyant natural hair show, soul food, wealth building workshops and we support black owned business vendors.
